Not automatically. For tax years 2025 through 2028, eligible workers may be able to deduct up to $25,000 of qualified tips from federal taxable income, subject to IRS requirements. Other taxes may still apply, and California currently does not conform to the federal qualified-tips deduction. tipme does not provide tax advice.
